COCOBURG CASE STUDY

Cocoburg creates paleo, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free, and non-GMO food, primarily using coconut. During the summer of 2017 I interned with Cocoburg as a designer. After the internship ended, I continued working with Cocoburg as a contractor.
For this project, I created the branding and packaging for a Coconut Aminos product, along with a landing page. During my time at Cocoburg, I created a landing page for the Coconut Aminos product. I extended the landing page to create a one page experience for the viewer that provides more information about the product.
ITERATIONS & BRANDING PROCESS
Through visuals of Ramen noodles and chopsticks, early iterations included a strong focus on food products that traditionally involve the use of soy sauce. While the product was positioned as a soy sauce alternative, we did not want consumers to immediately lose sight of the other uses.
Therefore, I weaved in vegetables and other kitchen supplies to encourage the product’s use as an overall cooking sauce. Through competitive analysis, I also noticed that many soy sauces had red color schemes. To help align the product towards its position as a soy sauce alternative without the use of the strong visuals seen in early iterations, I chose a red color scheme.
