For this project, I was invited to create an RSVP/Save the Date for a couple. They were very attached to the Hindu God Ganesh, and wanted a graphic that blended the God with the letters of their first names, A and R. To preserve the figure of the God, I added the letters into the body and incorporated their letters into the arms and hands.
My client's wedding was Twitter-themed so I provided stationary, t-shirt, and seating chart designs for her special day. This wedding and design were featured on Buzzfeed! Check it out here.
Mysore Palace is located in South India. Its beautiful architecture inspired me to create a line illustration in Adobe Illustrator, and I used this vector in an event invitation and Snapchat filter. Garba is an event that is part of the Hindu holiday Navratri, and is celebrated across the world. I repurposed an old event flyer I made to create this invitation set, welcoming individuals to celebrate holiday in a grand affair.
I had the pleasure of designing my friend's sister's dance recital brochure. In her recital, called a Ranga Pravesam, she performed the classical Indian dance form of Kuchipudi. The recital is considered to be a form of graduation from Kuchipudi, and is a milestone in every Kuchipudi dancer's life.
Mangalacharan is dance recital that incorporates various forms of ancient and folk South Asian dances, including Bharatnatyam, Kathak, and Kashmiri dance. This is a booklet I made for the event that describes the various dance forms.
